Almost every peeling exterior we are called to has the same cause: coating applied over a dusty, chalky or damp substrate. We wash down, cut out and fill cracks, sand back, and prime correctly before any topcoat.
Exterior elevations get UV-stable weather coatings with elastomeric properties where hairline cracking is a risk. Interiors get low-odour washable emulsions, with enamel or PU on joinery and metalwork.
Floors, joinery, glass and fittings are masked and sheeted before work starts. Occupied properties are cleaned down at the end of every working day rather than at the end of the job.
